This can be proof of vaccination after 3 weeks of the first dose, proof of recovery from COVID-19 in the previous 6 months, or proof of a negative PCR test taken within the previous 72 hours. Tourists without an EU Digital Certificate or proof of vaccination can apply for a 'SafePass' by undergoing PCR or antigen raid testing on day 7 after their arrival into the country, and then undergoing testing every 72 hours.
