Proof of negative pre-departure COVID-19 test results

Description

Travelers must have a negative COVID-19 PCR test result. The test must be taken a maximum of 72 hours before departure from the country of origin.

A negative COVID-19 test result must be presented in English along with the traveler's passport number.

More Details

This requirement is different for:

  • Travelers who were abroad for less than 72 hours;
  • Travelers who have recovered from COVID-19 will be permitted to travel if they have a positive test result no less than 11 days and up to 3 months before their flight;
  • Travelers unable to take a test because of humanitarian grounds, or special personal needs, or if it is physically impossible to gain access to PCR testing in the location they are flying from, may apply to the Exceptions Committee.

Mandatory proof of vaccination

Travelers are required to have a valid vaccination certificate showing they received the full course of vaccination in Israel, before traveling. This will be proven with a "Green Pass."

Moderna, Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, AstraZeneca, Covishield, Sinopharm, and Sinovac, are all approved by the Israeli Ministry of Health.

Effective November 30th, 2021, Sputnik-V will also be recognized.

Travelers vaccinated with Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, Sinovac, or Sinopharm must have received 2 vaccine shots, and it must have passed 14 days or more since their second vaccine before arrival in Israel (but no more than 180 days upon leaving Israel).

Travelers vaccinated with Janssen's vaccine must have received their vaccination 14 days or more before arrival in Israel (but no more than 180 days upon leaving Israel).

Travelers vaccinated with a booster dose must have received their vaccination 14 days or more before arrival in Israel.

Travelers who are vaccinated with Sputnik-V, and who are subject to a positive serology test result in Israel (will remain in isolation until a positive result is obtained), must have received 2 vaccine shots, and it must have passed 14 days or more since their second vaccine before arrival in Israel (but no more than 180 days upon leaving Israel).
