Entry into India From Mauritius is Restricted

Description

Most international travelers are not allowed to enter India. There are limited flights available from the UK, Germany, France, Japan, USA, Oman, UAE, Afghanistan, Nepal, Bahrain, Russia, Qatar, Kuwait, Maldives, and Sri Lanka.

Travelers wishing to enter must have the appropriate Indian visa. Tourist visa holders are not allowed to enter at the moment.

More Details

Entry restrictions do not apply to:

  • Indian citizens;
  • Indian Visa holders (except eVisa, tourist visa, and medical visa holders);
  • OCI cardholders;
  • Foreign businessmen;
  • Foreign health care professionals;
  • Foreign engineering, managerial, design, or other specialists traveling on behalf of foreign businesses located in India;
  • Foreign technical specialists and engineers traveling for installation or repair and maintenance of foreign-origin machinery and equipment
  • Journalists (J-1) and their dependents who are holding J-1X visa
  • Nationals of Nepal and Bhutan are permitted to come to India from any country

Description

Travelers are required to complete an Air Suvidha self-declaration form a maximum of 72 hours before departing to India. They must upload their negative test results and a declaration of test results authenticity. This form can be completed online and travelers will receive an updated application document via email. They are required to show this document to immigration on arrival in India.

Travelers can apply for an exemption from presenting a negative test result only in case of death in the family and they must apply in the portal at least 72 hours before boarding.

Proof of negative COVID-19 test results

Description

All travelers must have a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test result. The test must be taken a maximum of 72 hours before departure.

The test result should be submitted through the Air Suvidha portal.

Some airports and states in India do not require a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR before departure if travelers are fully vaccinated. Please contact the airline directly for more details.

Travelers found to be symptomatic during screening will be isolated in a medical facility.

Description

Travelers from selected countries who do not have a travel history in the United Kingdom, Brazil, and South Africa during the 14 days prior to their arrival are not required to quarantine. Travelers who were seated in the same area on the plane as a traveler arriving from the UK, South Africa, or Brazil who tests positive for COVID-19 upon arrival will also be placed in institutional quarantine for 7 days pending additional testing.

More Details

Some states require quarantine for all individuals arriving from outside their borders with no exemptions. During the 14-day quarantine period, travelers are not permitted to use any form of public transportation or appear in any public location.
