Mandatory proof of vaccination

Description

Travelers who are fully vaccinated must present a valid vaccination certificate. Travelers must have received all doses required of the vaccine at least 14 days before travel. Vaccine certificates issued by third countries are accepted under reciprocal conditions, as long as the vaccines are approved by EMA (Janssen, AstraZeneca/Vaxzevria, Moderna/Spikevax, Pfizer-BioNTech/Comirnaty).

Travelers with access to the EU Digital Certificate may use it to present proof.

Travelers unable to present a valid certificate may be required to comply with rules for unvaccinated travelers.

Mandatory health pass for accommodations and restaurants

Description

Travelers are required to provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test result to access hotels or local accommodations. The same is needed to enjoy restaurants in high-risk municipalities and within established time periods such as on Friday nights and weekends.

The types of tests allowed are:

  • RT-PCR taken a maximum of 72 hours before its submission;
  • Antigen test with a laboratory report, taken a maximum of 48 hours before its submission;
  • Rapid antigen test using the self-test method, taken a maximum of 24 hours before its submission in the presence of a health or pharmaceutical professional who certifies its performance and result;
  • Rapid self-test antigen test carried out on the spot, at the door of the establishment to be visited, under the supervision of the persons in charge of these premises.

Travelers have the option to present proof via the EU Digital Certificate and vaccination certificates from the UK.

More Details

Children under 12 years old accompanied by an adult are exempt of testing requirements and are free to access places or establishments, to participate in events and to travel in the country.
