Public transportation is operating as usual for foreign travelers. Turkish citizens and residents must have a 'travel permit' which can be applied for at https://www.turkiye.gov.tr/ Turkish citizens and residents must also download the 'Hayat Eve Sigar' (HES) application which will generate a code for domestic and international flights, train, and ferry travel. The HES code may also be requested when checking in to accommodation or when entering public places. This does not apply to foreign travelers.
