Travelers exempted from the entry ban are:

  • Slovak citizens, permanent or temporary residents;
  • Some family members of citizens or permanent/temporary residents;
  • Students;
  • Travelers transiting through Slovakia within 8 hours;
  • Travelers with humanitarian reasons for travel. Travelers must have proper documentation accrediting their exemption.

  • It has passed at least 14 days but not more than 12 months after the administration of the second dose of a 2-dose COVID-19 vaccine;
  • It has passed at least 21 days but not more than 12 months after the administration of the first dose of a single-dose COVID-19 vaccine;
  • It has passed at least 14 days but not more than 12 months after the administration of the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, if the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination was given a maximum of 180 days of overcoming COVID-19;
  • After administration of the first dose of a single-dose or 2-dose COVID-19 vaccine.

Travelers have the option to present proof via EU Digital Certificate.

Local Guidelines

General

A nationwide curfew has been reduced from 9 pm to 1 am. During this period, you may only leave home for essential reasons such as work. A daytime curfew may remain in place in high-risk areas. Indoor social gatherings are limited to the household or 2 people. Outdoor gatherings of 6 people are permitted without restrictions, more than 6 will require proof of a COVID-19 test result. In addition to safety guidelines, preventative health measures such as frequent hand washing and social distancing are encouraged to combat further outbreaks. Face masks are required in public spaces, enclosed environments, and on public transportation. FFP2 masks or higher are required in public buildings and on public transportation.
