Selected countries are on the United Kingdoms Amber list. Travelers from selected countries that are Amber listed who do not have a travel history in selected countries that are Red listed during the 10 days prior to their arrival are allowed to enter the United Kingdom. Please check the documentation, quarantine and/or testing requirements for your specific destination before traveling.

  • Vaccinated travelers are required to take a single test on day 2 after arrival;
  • Unvaccinated travelers are required to take a test on day 2 after arrival and day 8 after arrival.

  • Travelers under the age of 11 for Scotland;

Description

Travelers who were fully vaccinated in the UK must present a vaccination certificate issued only by the NHS. Travelers are considered fully vaccinated if they have had the final dose of an approved vaccine at least 14 days before the arrival date in the United Kingdom.

Travelers who were vaccinated outside of the UK vaccination program must follow quarantine and testing rules for unvaccinated travelers.

From 4am 2 August 2021, England will recognize vaccination certificates from travelers who are fully vaccinated in the EU with vaccines authorized by the European Medicines Agency or in the USA with vaccines authorized by the Food and Drug Administration, or in the Swiss vaccination programme.

No updates were released by Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales at the moment.

Travelers must book a travel test package prior to travel to be tested on or before days 2 and on or after day 8 of quarantine.

This requirement does not apply to:

  • Travelers aged 10 years and younger;
  • Travelers from the CTA (Jersey, Guernsey, the Isle of Man, Ireland, Channel Islands) and who have been there in the past 10 days;
  • Travelers with a medical condition that means you cannot take a test – you must present a note from a medical practitioner at check-in and to Border Force staff on arrival in England;
  • Fully vaccinated travelers arriving in England with a vaccination certificate issued by NHS are not required to take a day 8 test.
