Entry into Italy from a restricted country is permitted to:

  • Italian Citizens;
  • Permanent residents;
  • Proven work;
  • Urgent health reasons;
  • Transiting home;
  • Foreign diplomats;
  • Italian citizens or nationals of EU and Schengen Member States, Andorra, Monaco, San Marino, or the Vatican City State and their close family members (cohabiting lineal relatives, spouse, civil or partner).

Description

Travelers arriving from selected countries who do not have a travel history in selected countries in the past 14 days before travel to Italy must have a negative COVID-19 test result from a molecular or antigen swab test. The test must be taken a maximum of 72 hours before arrival in Italy.
