Most travelers arriving from selected countries are not allowed to enter or transit through Israel.

More Details

Entry restrictions do not apply to:

  • Israeli citizens and permanent residents;
  • Students studying in Israel who have been fully vaccinated or recovering from COVID-19;
  • Travelers with an entry approval issued by the Population and Immigration Authority of Israel or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel. Please see the source for additional information on who can apply for approval.

Description

Travelers must have a negative COVID-19 PCR test result. The test must be taken a maximum of 72 hours before departure from the country of origin.

More Details

Travelers unable to take a test because of humanitarian grounds, or special personal needs, or if it is physically impossible to gain access to PCR testing in the location they are flying from, may apply to the Exceptions Committee.

Description

All international travelers must take a COVID-19 test on arrival.

Travelers must pay for COVID-19 PCR tests required for entry to Israel. Travelers can make the payment at Ben Gurion International Airport or after they submit the entry statement form before traveling to Israel.

Payment in advance is at a reduced price.

Description

All travelers are required to self-isolate for 14 days on arrival. Travelers can shorten self-isolation to 7 days if 2 negative COVID-19 test results are provided (the first on arrival and another 7 days after arrival).

Foreign nationals leaving Israel before the end of their mandated isolation period without special permission will be in violation of the laws of the State of Israel and their next entry to Israel, will not be approved.

More Details

This requirement does not apply to:

  • Travelers with a recovery certificate from the Israel Ministry of Health;
  • Travelers with a vaccination certificate from the Israel Ministry of Health.

Passengers who recovered or received the vaccine abroad must go into isolation upon arrival but they can apply for an exemption.
