Entry into India From Egypt is Restricted

Description

Most international travelers are not allowed to enter India. Most international flights to and from India have been suspended. There are limited flights available from the UK, Germany, France, Japan, USA, Oman, UAE, Afghanistan, Nepal, Bahrain, Russia, Qatar, and Kuwait.

Travelers wishing to enter must have the appropriate Indian visa. Tourist visa holders are not allowed to enter at the moment.

More Details

The travel restrictions do not apply to:

  • Indian citizens;
  • Indian Visa holders (except eVisa, tourist visa, and medical visa holders);
  • OCI cardholders;
  • Foreign businessmen;
  • Foreign health care professionals;
  • Foreign engineering, managerial, design, or other specialists travelling on behalf of foreign businesses located in India;
  • Foreign technical specialists and engineers travelling for installation or repair and maintenance of foreign-origin machinery and equipment
  • Journalist (J-1) and their dependents who are holding J-1X visa
  • Nationals of Nepal and Bhutan are permitted to come to India from any country

Description

To visit India for Business or Tourism, you require a visa. An eVisa is the fastest and easiest way of obtaining a visa as you can submit an application and supporting documents online. If approved, you'll receive your eVisa confirmation electronically. When you arrive at immigration, you will be asked for your passport and eVisa to ensure you have proper documentation.

Travelers arriving from selected countries who do not have a travel history in the United Kingdom, Brazil and South Africa during the 14 days prior to their arrival must self-monitor their health for 14 days on arrival.

Travelers found to be symptomatic during screening will be isolated in a medical facility.

Travelers will be provided the phone numbers for the National and State level surveillance call centers which they can call in case they develop symptoms.
