Entry into Uruguay From Ecuador is Restricted

Description

Most international travelers are not allowed to enter Uruguay. Some airlines have resumed limited flights to and from Uruguay.

More Details

This restriction does not apply to:

  • Uruguayan citizens;
  • Travelers with resident status;
  • Travelers claiming refugee status;
  • Travelers coming to reunite with family members (including parents, spouses, partners, children under 18 years old or those with disabilities) with the proper documentation;
  • Humanitarian reasons not included in other exceptions, when properly justified;
  • Temporary entry for work, economic, business, or judicial matters where the Ministry has given its consent and where the person must enter immediately.
