To visit Turkey for Business or Tourism, you require a visa. An eVisa is the fastest and easiest way of obtaining a Turkish visa as you can submit an application and supporting documents online. If approved, you'll receive your eVisa confirmation electronically. When you arrive in Turkey, border crossing will ask for your passport and eVisa to ensure you have the proper documentation.

Travelers arriving in Turkey are required to undergo a medical evaluation for symptoms of COVID-19, including temperature checks and if they have symptoms they will take a COVID-19 PCR test. If the test is positive, the traveler will be required to quarantine for 14 days and may undergo a test on the 10th day to be released. Travelers should check whether their health insurance policy includes coverage for COVID-19.

Turkish citizens and residents are required to have a HES code (Hayat Eve Sığar) for domestic flights, trains, and ferries. Istanbul has implemented a new law that states the Istanbul Kart for anyone aged 7 years and older has to be connected with their HES code in order to use public transportation.

Public transportation can only be used by those with a travel permit, Turkish citizens can apply for permits at https://www.turkiye.gov.tr/. Turkish citizens and residents must download the 'Hayat Eve Sigar' (HES) application which will generate a code for domestic and international flights, train, and ferry travel. The HES code may also be requested when checking in to accommodation or when entering public places. This does not apply to foreign travelers.
