Entry into Thailand From Ecuador is Restricted

Description

Travelers who have been in selected countries for the past 21 days before travel are not allowed to enter Thailand.

More Details

Entry restrictions do not apply to:

  • Thai citizens;
  • Permanent residents including their spouses or children;
  • Travelers who are a spouse, parent, or child of a Thai citizen;
  • Travelers with a work permit;
  • Students of educational institutions approved by Thai authorities;
  • Travelers who need medical treatment in Thailand;
  • Travelers who are permitted to enter Thailand under a special arrangement with a foreign country;
  • International students or the parent/guardian of an international student;
  • Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Business Travel Cardholders from low-risk countries such as New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, mainland China, and Hong Kong;
  • Holders of ‘Special Tourist Visa’ (which requires a minimum stay in Thailand of at least 90 days);
  • Holders of non-immigrant visa who are business people without a work permit and are intending to enter Thailand for business purposes;
  • Exempted persons who are specified, permitted, or invited by the Prime Minister or Chief official responsible;
  • Non-Thai nationals who are permitted to enter the Kingdom under a special arrangement with a foreign country or have been granted permission by the Prime Minister.

Travelers must have a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test result. The result must be issued a maximum of 72 hours before departure to Thailand.

More Details

All travelers, both Thais and non-Thais, arriving from other provinces, to provide a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR or antigen test result. The test must be taken a maximum of 7 days before departure to Phuket Province.
