Travelers are required to have valid health insurance with COVID-19 coverage purchased from a company registered in Ukraine or a foreign company that has a representative office or an insurance partner in Ukraine.

More Details

This requirement does not apply to:

  • Ukraine citizens and residents;
  • Travelers in transit who do not leave the transit zone of the airport;
  • Foreigners permanently residing in Ukraine, diplomats accredited to Ukraine, refugees, plane or ship crews, and NATO personnel training the Ukrainian military.

Vaccinated travelers must present receipt of at least 1 dose of vaccination against COVID-19 with vaccines included by WHO in the list approved for use in emergency situations.

Vaccines currently included: Pfizer/BioNTech, Johnson & Johnson's Janssen, AstraZeneca/Covishield (India), AstraZeneca/SKBio (South Korea), Moderna/Spikevax, Sinopharm (Vero Cell), CoronaVac (Sinovac).

Travelers have the option to present proof via the EU Digital Certificate.

Travelers unable to present a valid certificate may be required to comply with rules for unvaccinated travelers.

  • Travelers under the age of 12.

  • Confirmation of at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine (vaccination certificates, EU COVID Certificate, international certificates should be used);

  • Negative result of PCR test or rapid antigen test taken in a maximum of 72 hours before entry.

General

Ukraine has been divided into color-coded 'zones’ in order to categorize restrictions. In 'green' zones most restrictions have been lifted, in 'yellow' or 'orange' zones capacity limits remain in place for events and facilities, and in 'red' zones only essential businesses are allowed to open. Proof of vaccination is required to enter public facilities and to attend mass events in yellow, orange, and red zones. In all zones, people are required to carry an ID at all times.
