Proof of negative pre-departure COVID-19 test results

Description

Travelers must have a negative COVID-19 test result (NAA, NAAT, RNA, Molecular, PCR, RT-PCR, RT-qPCR, RNA-PCR, or Antigen test). The test must be taken a maximum of 3 days before arrival in Turks and Caicos.

Only results from oropharyngeal and nasopharyngeal samples are accepted for COVID-19 PCR tests. Only results from nasopharyngeal samples are accepted for COVID-19 Antigen tests.

Travelers are required to submit this test in their pre-travel authorization form.

This requirement does not apply to:

  • Travelers under the age of 2;
  • Fully vaccinated Turks and Caicos residents. They must get tested at a Government center, a maximum of 2 days after arrival in Turks and Caicos.

Mandatory proof of vaccination

Description

Fully vaccinated travelers are required to present a vaccination certificate. The certificate must show that 14 days have passed after the second dose of a 2-dose vaccine, or that 14 days have passed after the receiving of a single dose vaccine.

Proof of vaccination can be presented in one of the following forms (which will need to be uploaded to the TCI Assured Portal):

  • E-certificate/digital certificate;
  • Certification issued by a doctor or government entity;
  • Vaccination cards/certificates accepted by national authorities;
  • A vaccination letter signed by a medical professional (physician or registered nurse with license number);
  • Printed form from an electronic vaccination database.

Approved vaccines are Pfizer/BioNTech, Moderna, AstraZeneca, Comirnaty, Spikevax, Vaxzevria, Covishield, Johnson and Johnson/Janssen, Sinopharm/BBIP-CorV/Vero Cells, Novavax, Covaxin, and Sinovac/CoronaVac.

This requirement does not apply to:

  • Travelers under the age of 16;
  • Travelers in transit;
  • Travelers who are not able to take a COVID-19 vaccine due to medical reasons. However, written and signed proof from a medical professional clearly stating that they are medically exempted from taking the vaccine must be submitted to the online TCI Assured Portal. The reason must be clearly stated and will be reviewed by the Turks and Caicos Ministry of Health. If an exemption is granted to the traveler, note that these travelers will still be required to provide a negative COVID-19 test.
