Most travelers arriving from selected countries are not allowed to enter or transit through Israel.

More Details

Entry restrictions do not apply to:

  • Israeli citizens and permanent residents;
  • Students studying in Israel who have been fully vaccinated or recovering from COVID-19;
  • Travelers with an entry approval issued by the Population and Immigration Authority of Israel or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel;
  • Holders of an A1, A2, A3, A4, or A5 visa;
  • B1 or B4 Visa holders wishing to live with his\her Israeli partner;
  • Workers who have been vaccinated in Israel and hold a valid entry.

Travelers must have a negative COVID-19 PCR test result. The test must be taken a maximum of 72 hours before departure from the country of origin.

More Details

Travelers unable to take a test because of humanitarian grounds, or special personal needs, or if it is physically impossible to gain access to PCR testing in the location they are flying from, may apply to the Exceptions Committee.

Mandatory 14-day quarantine

Description

Travelers of all ages, including those vaccinated and recovered, who have visited selected countries in the previous 14 days must go into a 14-day quarantine on arrival in Israel.

Travelers may shorten quarantine to 24 hours or quarantine until a negative COVID-19 PCR test result is negative, whichever is earlier, in one of the following cases:

  • Travelers who have Israeli recovery or vaccination certificate, and leave Israel after 7 full days from the day they received the last dose of the vaccine, or if 14 days have passed after receiving the last dose of the vaccine (do not count the vaccination day) and if they satisfy one of the following requirements: - Travelers who have been vaccinated with 3 doses of the vaccine in Israel; - Travelers who have been vaccinated with 2 doses of the vaccine in Israel and no more than 6 months have passed since the day they received the second dose - Travelers who have recovered and received 1 dose of the vaccine.
  • Travelers who have a recovery certificate from the Ministry of Health based on a COVID-19 PCR test taken or documented in Israel and no more than 6 months have passed from the day of issuance of the recovery certificate.
