Travel is allowed with restrictions
Travelers are allowed to enter Mauritania. Limited commercial flights are available. Please check the documentation, quarantine, and/or testing requirements before traveling.
Before You Leave
Proof of negative pre-departure COVID-19 test results for vaccinated travelers before arrival
Vaccinated travelers must have proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test result. The test must be taken a maximum of 72 hours before departure.
This requirement does not apply to:
- Travelers under the age of 11.
- A Pcr Test Up To 72 hours
Mandatory proof of vaccination
Fully vaccinated travelers are required to present a valid vaccination certificate. For vaccines requiring 2 doses, vaccination status will be considered complete 2 weeks after the administration of the second dose.
Vaccines recognized by the WHO are: AstraZeneca, Sinopharm, Pfizer/BioNTech, Janssen (Johnson & Johnson), Moderna, Sinovac, and Covishield.
COVID-19 test may be required on arrival
Travelers with COVID-19 symptoms such as fever will take a COVID-19 PCR or rapid antigen test on arrival.
No quarantine required
Travelers are not required to quarantine on arrival in Mauritania.
Health screening on arrival
Temperature screening is required for all travelers on arrival. Travelers with a fever will take a COVID-19 PCR or antigen test on arrival.
