Description

Fully vaccinated travelers and travelers with proof of previous COVID-19 infection must have a negative COVID-19 PCR or antigen test result. The test must be taken a maximum of 72 hours before point of departure.

The results must be in Icelandic, Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, or English.

Travelers have the option to present proof via EU Digital Certificate.

Fully vaccinated travelers who are Icelandic citizens, residents and work permit holders/applicants must take a COVID-19 test within 48 hours of arriving in Iceland, regardless of their pre-departure test.

The requirement does not apply to:

  • Holders of proof of a previous COVID-19 infection that meets all requirements must have a positive COVID-19 test result. the test has to be at least 14 days old and no more than 180 days old.
