Entry into Croatia From Åland Islands is Allowed with Additional Requirements

Description

Travelers must meet an exemption in order to be allowed entry into Croatia.

More Details

Travelers who may meet an exemption are:

  • Citizens of EU/EEA member states as well as members of their families;
  • Healthcare workers, health researchers, and caregivers for the elderly;
  • Travelers in transit, with the obligation to leave the Republic of Croatia a maximum of 12 hours from entering;
  • Persons traveling for study purposes;
  • Persons traveling for necessary personal/family or business reasons, or who have other economic interests;
  • Persons who travel for tourist reasons and have a certificate of paid accommodation in a hotel, camp, private renter or rented vessel, and another form of tourist accommodation or are owners of houses or vessels in the Republic of Croatia.

Mandatory proof of vaccination

Travelers who are fully vaccinated must present a vaccination certificate.

Travelers are considered fully vaccinated:

  • Travelers received the second dose (Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, Gamaleya, Sinopharm) or the first dose in the case of vaccination with a vaccine received in a single dose (Janssen / Johnson & Johnson). The certificate should not be older than 270 days, provided that 14 days have passed since they received the single dose;
  • Travelers received the first dose of Pfizer, Moderna, or Gamaleya, with which it is possible to enter Croatia in the period from the 22nd to the 42nd day of receipt of the vaccine, or from the 22nd to the 84th day of receipt of the first dose of AstraZeneca.
