Travel is allowed with restrictions
Travelers are allowed to enter Burkina Faso. Please check the documentation, quarantine, and/or testing requirements before traveling.
Transit is allowed with restrictions
Travelers are allowed to transit through Burkina Faso.
Transit travelers are required to:
- Have a negative COVID-19 PCR (nasal swab) test result in English or French. The test must be taken a maximum of 48 hours before arrival; OR
- Hotel quarantine while waiting for the next flight, at their own expense.
Before You Leave
Proof of negative pre-departure COVID-19 test results before arrival
Travelers must have a negative COVID-19 PCR (nasal swab) test result in English or French. The test must be taken a maximum of 5 days before arrival.
- A Pcr Test Up To 5 days Before Arrival
Quarantine and testing may be required
Travelers who do not have a COVID-19 test before arrival or those who present symptoms of COVID-19 are required to take a COVID-19 rapid test at the airport at their own cost and to be detained until the results are back. Those whose test results are positive are required to stay in quarantine until advised.
Travelers who test negative can end quarantine and are recommended to take a COVID-19 PCR test on Day 8 and Day 14 in dedicated sites.
Health screening on arrival
Temperature screening is required for all travelers on arrival.
