Travel is allowed with restrictions
Travelers are allowed to enter Nigeria. Please check the documentation, quarantine, and/or testing requirements before traveling.
Before You Leave
Proof of negative pre-departure COVID-19 test results
Travelers must have a negative electronic or printed COVID-19 PCR test result. The test must be taken a maximum of 48 hours prior to the first leg of their journey. Antigen tests are not accepted.
Travelers are required to upload COVID-19 PCR negative results to the national payment portal.
Travelers without a valid negative PCR test result will have to comply with the rules for unvaccinated travelers.
This requirement does not apply to:
- Travelers under the age of 10.
- A Pcr Test Up To 48 hours
Mandatory health declaration form
Travelers are required to register on the travel portal, and they are advised to begin their registration the moment they receive their COVID-19 PCR negative test result.
During registration, travelers must also book and pay for a test to be taken after arrival.
Once registered, an email is submitted to them with their Permit to Travel, which is required to be shown to the airline before boarding.
Mandatory proof of vaccination
Fully vaccinated travelers must present a valid vaccination certificate showing that they received 2 completed or mixed doses of either Astra Zeneca, Pfizer, or Moderna vaccines, or a single dose of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine.
Mandatory COVID-19 test on day 2
All travelers are required to take a COVID-19 PCR test on day 2 after arrival in Nigeria. The test will be booked and paid for when registering through the Nigeria International Travel Porta.

No quarantine for vaccinated travelers
Fully vaccinated travelers arriving from selected countries are not required to quarantine on arrival.
