Entry restricted for international travelers
Most travelers are not allowed to enter Kuwait.
Entry restrictions do not apply to:
- Kuwaiti national despite of their vaccination status;
- Non-Kuwaiti first-degree relatives of Kuwaiti citizens with valid residence/visa despite of their vaccination status;
- Domestic workers with valid residence/visa accompanied by Kuwaiti despite of their vaccination status;
- Immunized GCC Nationals with valid passports;
- National non- immunized minors below 16 years travelling along with their immunized GCC national parents;

Transit is not allowed
Travelers are not allowed to transit through Kuwait.
Transit restrictions do not apply to:
- Kuwaiti citizens.
Before You Leave
Proof of negative pre-departure COVID-19 test results
Travelers must have a negative COVID-19 PCR test result in English. The test must be taken a maximum of 72 hours before arrival.
This requirement does not apply to:
- Travelers under the age of 6.
- A Pcr Test Up To 72 hours Before Arrival
Mandatory pre-registration form
Travelers must fill the Kuwait Mosafer form before travel.
Mandatory Contact-Tracing App
Travelers must download the Shlonik mobile app before travel.
Mandatory proof of vaccination
Fully vaccinated travelers must have a valid vaccination certificate showing that at least 2 weeks have passed since receiving 2 doses of either Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Moderna, or 1 dose of Johnson and Johnson. Travelers who have been fully vaccinated with Sinopharm, Sinovac, or Sputnik vaccines may travel to Kuwait if they have received at least 1 additional dose of either Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Moderna, or Johnson & Johnson vaccines. Travelers will not be considered fully vaccinated if more than 9 months had passed since their second vaccination and they had not received a third booster dose.
This applies to all foreign residents aged 16 years and older.
All vaccinated travelers must confirm their vaccination status with Kuwait’s Ministry of Health ‘Immune’ App, or on the Mobile Civil ID app, or through presenting a certificate of vaccination outside Kuwait that includes a readable QR code.
Kuwait will only accept the UK’s letter version of proof of COVID-19 recovery and vaccination record. Digital proof will not be accepted.
Mandatory quarantine for vaccinated travelers
Vaccinated travelers with valid proof of vaccination are required to quarantine for 7 days at home on arrival in Kuwait. Travelers can end their quarantine earlier if a COVID-19 test is performed within 72 hours after entry into Kuwait and the results are negative.
