Description

Travelers who arrive with a COVID-19 PCR molecular test done more than 72 hours before departure, will be required to do a COVID-19 PCR test on arrival at their own expense. Once tested at the airport, travelers will be allowed to continue to travel to their residence or hotel. The traveler must remain at their residence or hotel until receiving a negative test result. If the traveler tests positive, the government of Guyana will require the traveler to self-isolate or quarantine for up to 14 days.

A nationwide curfew is in place between the hours of 10:30 pm to 4 am and most establishments and facilities that are not essential services must close by 9:30 pm. Proof of vaccination or PCR test conducted within 7 days must be presented to access public buildings. In addition to safety guidelines, preventative health measures such as frequent hand washing and social distancing are encouraged to combat further outbreaks.
